Heh...Scott just drove home from work to show me his new car that got delivered this morning. He gets so cute when things like this happen. But last night he was freaking out because the guy he bought it from has disconnected his phone and now he has no way of getting in contact with him. Although he seems very happy with the car today so maybe things are going to be okay.

Even more good news, the fires have moved further away from our place. Thankgod for that. The helicopters were giving me a massive headache. But the local news last night was not at all comforting.

"Fires are burning out of control!"

Great. At least things seem to have gotten better overnight so I feel safe leaving the house today.

And just when you thought I had run out of good news, there's more.

Our landlord agreed to have us pay $150 a week and has taken the place off the market. We get our new lease today and I don't think I can express how happy I am.

What I love even more is the fact that we were going to have prospective buyers come through today and Friday and now the bitchy ladies in sales have to cancel.

Finally things are looking up.
