Oohh...right now there is a fire near my place.
How near? Near enough that when the fire fighting helicopter flies over my house the walls actually vibrate.
It's all rather exciting, but a little scary as well.
Had a job interview yesterday, that went well. More stupid landlord stuff happened. He said the reason he wants to sell the unit is because he's not getting enough rent and is therefore losing money. So my completely insane agent tells him that he could rent our place out for $180 a week.
That's outrageous, but we tell her to say that we'll pay up to $150 a week, and if he's not happy with that then we'll be giving our two weeks notice and moving the hell out.
We hear back about that today or tomorrow.
Heh...all the dogs in the neighbourhood are going crazy because of the helicopter. Am considering calling Scott, but I'll wait to see if the wind changes again.
