i'm not going to run away anymore
Still no call from our agent regarding re-signing our lease. But that's just so typically Roberts that I'm not too surprised. Scott and I are slowly coming to terms with the fact that we might be moving out in a couple of months. In some ways it may be kind of exciting to go into a new place, and if I have a job by then we can splash out on rent some more and get a decent place. We've also been trying to calculate the costs of moving from here.
1. Cut the front door key since Scott lost his: $2-4.
2. Carpet cleaning: possibly free since we have a steam cleaner friend, but will probably end up buying him a little something in return for doing it. But at least it won't be $100.
3. Reconnecting the power: $50, no idea if we have to pay a disconnection fee.
4. Disconnecting and reconnecting the phone: Err...it's $60 to connect so let's just say that it might end up being $100.
5. Bond: Well that all depends on the place we move into, let's guess at $600. We put $500 down on this place and probably won't get all of that back, let's just say that we might need $200.
6. Actual moving: free! Steam cleaner friend has a truck and Scott's dad has a trailer, we should be fine.
7. Application fee on new place: $40-60.
So umm... $414, and that's only a guess.
Heh...I'd much prefer to stay here.
So, it's advertised, (heh...8 month old photo, the garden looks nicer now, and Scott has had 4 other cars since that one) now I get to deal with agents calling me all the time. Scott has no idea how thankful he should be that he works full time and never, ever has to deal with anything.
So, let all the excitement begin.
