don't push me cause i'll fall in love
The "traffic chaos" that was on the news last night?
Yep. I was stuck in that. For an hour.
There's nothing worse than driving (and I use the term driving loosely here, I doubt that I travelled more than a metre each time we moved) along a highway at under 20kms with some freaking huge bus in front of you.
I wish that I could have gotten some road rage happening and pushed my way into the other lane and hopped off the highway to travel through the suburbs, but I know how damn selfish and inconsiderate Hobart drivers are and if I had of tried I probably would have been killed.
Well, okay, not killed, but I'm sure that death would have been wished upon me.
In better news my digital camera has arrived in the state and is now apparently on board for delivery as of 7:30 this morning. I should hopefully receive it soon, giving me time to do some work plus to go around and see Kristy.
I hope she's there.
In house updates the gas people have been around twice to measure up the place and decide where the heater and bottles will go. It's been quoted at $1,300. Thank god we don't have to pay for that. The locksmith has also been, but he's a major slacker and I don't think I'll be hearing back from him anytime soon. The insulation guys are coming around tonight to quote the place as well.
I really hope that we have all of this done by the start of next week. My neighbours invited me over on the weekend to see how much warmer their unit is since they've had gas and insulation put in.
God damn. I nearly melted walking in the door. And it was nice.
They've painted and have done all sorts of nice things to the unit, making it look a million times better than ours.
I want to swap with them.
I stayed for a chat and a cup of tea and really soaked up the heat before having to come back to this cold, miserable place.
For the 4393995th time, I cannot wait to have all of this stuff so that for once this winter the house will be warmer than outside.
I only wish that it could happen today since we have 3 days of snow ahead of us.
Tea time!
