i've had enough of your suspicion and hypocrisy

I'm so tired, I seriously think that I got about 2 hours sleep last night. Way too many things running through my head at the moment. And I have my big night out with Kristy tonight, so I'm going to have to drink a whole lot so I don't get sleepy.

But on the upside I finally found a hairdresser that I like. I went around 10-12 different places checking out prices 'n' other such things.

The place that I originally wanted to go to quoted me at $52.50.

Fuck me. That's a whole lot of money for a haircut, but now I know where they get the money for their very nice shiny business cards.

I won't name names, but hot damn!

Most other places I went to quoted between $40-42, and one certain place said up to $60 depending on who cut my hair.

Who the hell do they have working there?

Now, I'm used to going to an awesome salon, being offered beverages, getting a great haircut and paying my $25. I'm completely happy with that. So the prices that I was getting yesterday seemed almost criminal to me.

I did manage to find one place that would charge me $25, but it was kind of scary looking and the guy who served me asked if I was a high school student.

I was in high school 3 years ago, so I said no to going to this place.

Bastard.

But there was some shimmering hope in the form of Tease.

I have been wanting to go to this hairdresser for a year now. Everytime I'm in town and drive past it I drool over their pretty blue sign, they seriously look that cool from the outside.

So I went in there and this place is tiny. Three chairs in total, no waiting room and two hairdressers on staff.

But oh my god, I have never seen such awesome, enthusiastic people in my life. This lady literally bounded up to me to say hello. Anyway I asked my usual "I was wondering if you could give me a price on a cut and dry?". And the student price for that at this place was $38. I had just been quoted $52.50 at the place across the road so $38 seemed lovely to me.

And she was the only hairdresser all day to actually offer to write the price down on a card and urge me to book in soon.

And it didn't hurt that their business card was hot pink.

So yes. I came home and made up a chart of all the places that I had gone to today with prices, pros and cons and showed Scott last night (since he's paying for it).

He also agreed that I should go to Tease, so yes, I'm hopefully going back down there today to book in for next week.

I actually want to just get it cut today so that it might brighten up my mood a little bit.

We'll see.
