So I was able to pick my car up yesterday afternoon. $320.
It really wasn't one of my finer moments when I was told that amount. I even got a discount, but $320 is still $320. Thankfully I get $440 in my bank account today. Of course half of that will be spent on bills, but I shouldn't complain too much.
Anyway, my oil filter and spark plugs were apparently fucked, thus causing my car to be well...fucked I guess.
But it's all nice and wonderful now. They even cleaned it for me (both inside and out) and left an air fresher in my car. Now I don't know if it was just something they do, or if they thought my car was smelly but I won't pass up something free.
So I left the mechanics feeling somewhat miserable that over half of my savings was now gone and what do I do? I get out $50 and head over to Zamel's to take advantage of my employee discount.
Ahh...nothing makes me happier than buying things, especially when I know that I'm going to get something for half price.
So I picked out some earrings for my Mum and saw a bracelet that my Nan would surely love. The price tag was $250, but with full discount plus my own discount I could take it for $106. Tempting, but not quite tempting enough.
Perhaps I'll see something else when I'm over there tonight for my staff meeting.
Interview this afternoon for the job at Business and Employment, I know that Jennie will be one of the people interviewing me so hurrah for that.
No word yet from Dream Job, I've now destroyed all notions of working there and am feeling good, so when I get a call in the next 24 hours from them I'll be okay.
